Abdullah Al Salem University launched the first day of its “Change Management” workshop on Monday, October 27, 2026. Organized by the University’s Planning, Institutional Excellence, and Innovation Department in collaboration with Boubyan Bank, the three-day workshop is designed for university employees. It aims to introduce participants to approaches that support workplace development, improve procedures, and strengthen their ability to adapt to changes in the work environment.
The workshop was delivered by Mr. Abdullah Al-Husainan, Head of the Change Management Office at Boubyan Bank, and Mr. Hussein Najm. On the first day, they covered the fundamental concepts of Agile Management and Change Management, highlighting their role in improving institutional performance, making better use of time and resources, and encouraging employee participation in development and continuous improvement.
The workshop also highlighted how these concepts apply to everyday work, emphasizing the importance of reviewing existing procedures and identifying opportunities for improvement. These efforts can help streamline tasks, enhance the quality of services, and promote communication and collaboration among employees, enabling them to better understand, adapt to, and contribute to implementing change.
The first day combined presentations, discussions, and practical exercises, allowing participants to relate the topics to their daily work, explore different approaches, and discuss ideas for simplifying and improving existing procedures.
The workshop also included practical activities that encouraged participants to reflect on their daily work practices and identify areas for improvement. It emphasized the employee’s role in proposing solutions and contributing to workplace development, while making effective use of the skills and expertise available within the institution.
